Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, The Al Suwaidi Foundation was founded by Dr. Hamed bin Mohamed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, in 2019 to manage the enduring legacies of the late family members and to undertake projects designed to preserve the cultural and artistic heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
To become the main source of reference for family personnel that shaped the formation of the UAE and the inspiration hub for young talents interested in artistic heritage.
The foundation aims to archive key milestones achieved by various family members and promote projects with an educational and nonprofit platform in order to carry forward the family legacy.

HE Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi held many offices during his years of active service with the government of the UAE
He played a significant role in the unification of The United Arab Emirates and was the first to read the statement of the founding of the nation on the 2nd of December, 1971. HE was the most senior advisor to the father of the nation and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (1968-2004).
HE is the eldest child to Khalifa Bin Yousef. He occupied several key positions that contributed to the development of the UAE. After the inception of the United Arab Emirates, HE Mohamed Khalifa Bin Yousef Al Suwaidi served as the Director General of Economic Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE Foreign Affairs between 1972 until 2001 where he achieved the Diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary.
Mouza Bint Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi is the eldest child of HE Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi, the Personal Representative of the 1st President of the UAE, and the wife of HE Mohamed Khalifa Bin Yousef Al Suwaidi. She sets a remarkable example to Emirati women having raised a family, purchased and successfully managed a date plantation and a farm with goat breeding and animal husbandry. She is also recognised as a distinguished philanthropist.
Dr. Hamed Bin Mohamed Khalifa Al Suwaidi graduated in 2004 from Regents University, London with a dual degree (BBA) in International Business and a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration. He also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance & Banking and an MSc in Strategic Business from the University of Portsmouth, UK as well as completing his PhD in Economics & Finance from the University of Portsmouth in 2014. The prominent businessman is passionate about cultivating the cultural identity of Abu Dhabi. He is an avid art enthusiast inspired by his upbringing in an environment full of thought leadership and creativity, and was natural to appreciate the different types of arts..
He is also the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arts Society and several other associations related to arts and education.
Alanood Ahmed Khalifa Ahmed Al Suwaidi is an undergraduate in business administration. She enjoys breeding birds, gardening, humanitarian work and is currently working closely with Dr. Hamed Bin Mohamed Khalifa Al Suwaidi on cultivating the family ancestry.
